New National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).

New National Professional Qualifications

The newly updated National Professional Qualifications (NPQs), have been a popular professional development tool over the last year, allowing participants to develop their leadership skills at all levels or focus on specialist areas of practice such as behaviour and culture.

Following the announcement earlier this year, that the Department for Education were planning to extend the NPQs on offer, they have added a new leadership and a specialist qualification to the existing qualifications.

The new National Professional Qualification in Early Years Leadership (NPQEYL), is aimed at current or aspiring early years leaders. For the first time, this qualification has been opened up to private, voluntary and independent early years settings, giving the opportunity for professional development to more educators than ever before.

In addition to the NPQEYL, there is also the National Professional Qualification in Leading Literacy (NPQLL). This is ideal for existing or aspiring literacy leads or those who wish to develop their skills in this key area of the curriculum.

We are pleased to offer the two new NPQs in partnership with Ambition Institute and the Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership (CEFEL). If you would like further information, or to apply to join one of our autumn cohorts, take a look at our NPQ page.
