When applying to undertake a National Professional Qualification, applicants will need to register with the Delivery Partner and the Department for Education. The link to the DfE registration page is: Department for EducationApplication 

When completing the DfE registration form, applicants will be asked to provide their TRN (Teacher Registration Number). If anyone is unsure of this, there is a website to help identify it. For more information select this link: Guidance - Teacher Reference Number (TRN)

Applicants from a non-school setting e.g. a private nursery applying for the NPQ in Early Years Leadership, will need to apply for a TRN - this can be done by sending an email, requesting a reference number, to: qts.enquiries@education.gov.uk
